52 Weeks of Photos :: Wide Open (34/52)

What better way to start your Friday than with some chocolate? 😉

This week’s theme for the BBPPN 52 Week Group Project was “wide open.” Almost immediately, I knew where I wanted to go with the theme. I love shooting at or near maximum aperture (or, in other words, wide open), which so often renders a nice diffuse background that does wonders for isolating the subject and drawing the viewer’s eye to the most important (and, by far, the cutest!) part of the frame. When I saw the below photo of Samantha, I knew I had the shot I wanted. With its gorgeous color palette and diffuse light, this photo called out to me.
